Bhaskar Sunkara is an American political writer of Trinidadian parentage. He is the founding editor and publisher of Jacobin Magazine, a magazine that provides socialist perspectives on relevant political, economic and cultural concerns. Jacobin Magazine has been hailed as a ‘bright light’ whose penetrating discussions analyse matters of real significance with rare and refreshingly impressive contributions. The quarterly publication has an active interaction with fundamentally leftist ideas that were previously sequestered in academia, but the sophisticated accessibility of its content will continue to be germane for decades yet.
