Tobias Buckell is a Grenada-born, Ohio-based science fiction writer and futurist. He has published numerous novels including: Hurricane Fever (2014), The Apocalypse Ocean (2012), Artic Rising (2013), Halo: The Cole Protocol (2008); several novellas such as: Tensegrity (2013), Byways (2010), The Excecutioness (2010) and a numerable of short story collections that include: Mitigated Futures (2012), Nascence (2011). Buckell was nominated for the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Science Fiction Author, and was a finalist for the Nebula, Prometheus  and Hugo awards.
