Denise Mina is a Scottish author and graphic novelist whose works feature crime prominently. Her publications include: The Girl who Played with Fire (2014), The Red Road (2014),The End of Wasps’ Season (2013), The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (2013), Gods and Beasts (2013), Slip of the Knife (2010), Garnetthill (2007) and numerous other works. Mina is the recipient of Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year award, Scotland on Sunday/Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland Award, Crime Writers’ Association Macallan Short Story award, and the Crime Writers’ Association John Creasey Memorial award.
