NoViolet Bulawayo is a Zimbabwean author.  She has published her first novel We Need New Names (2013), and the short story “Hitting Budapest” (2011). Bulawayo was awarded the Truman Capote Fellowship, the LA Times Book Prize Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction, the National Book Foundation “5 Under 35” Fiction Selection, the Pen/Hemingway Award, the Etisalat Prize for Literature, and the Barnes and Noble Discover Award.
