Marion Bethel is a Bahamian writer. Her work has appeared in several publications, including BIM, Poui, Callalo,The Caribbean Writer, and WomanSpeak, and has been anthologised in numerous books. She has been a fellow of Cave Canem, James Michener, and the Bunting Institutue, and a guest writer and poet at many literary events. Her first volume of poetry, Guanahani, My Love (1995, 2009), won the coveted Casa de las Américas Prize. Her second collection, Bougainvillea Ringplay, was published in 2009.
