Barbara Jenkins is a Trinidadian writer. Her first book, a collection of short stories entitled Sic Transit Wagon and Other Stories, was published in 2013. Barbara has also had short stories published in several literary journals including:Wasafiri, Small Axe and The Caribbean Writer. Her short fiction has won numerous awards including the prestigious Commonwealth Short Story Prize Caribbean Region in 2010 and 2011, The Canute Brodhurst Prize for short fiction, the 2011 Small Axe short story competition and the Wasafiri New Writing award in 2011. In 2013, she won the first Hollick Arvon Caribbean Writers Prize.
