Monique Roffey is a Trinidad-born, British writer, and teacher of creative writing. From 2002-2006, she was Centre Director for the Arvon Foundation and later went on to hold posts for the Royal Literary Fund. She has published a memoir, With the Kisses of His Mouth (2011), and three novels: Sun Dog (2002), The White Woman on the Green Bicycle (2009) and Archipelago (2012). The White Woman on the Green Bicycle was shortlisted for the 2010 Orange Prize and the 2011 Encore Award.
