Jane King is a St Lucian poet. She has published two collections of poetry, Into the Centre (1993) and Fellow Traveller (1994) which won the James Rodway Memorial Prize, a programme developed by Nobel Laureate, Derek Walcott. Her poems have also appeared in several anthologies in the United Kingdom, and in literary magazines in the United States. She is also an actor and theatre director, and is the co-founder of St Lucia’s Lighthouse Theatre Company. She teaches at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College in Castries, St Lucia.
